Workplace Choirs

Vocality offers regular weekly vocal groups in the workplace.    Rehearsals will usually last 50 minutes or 1 hour and will be attended by between 20 to 50 people at any one time.

We believe that singing regularly has a huge beneficial impact on people’s lives:

Social /Networking
Vocality members will have the opportunity to make new friendships and deepen existing ones through participation in a shared interest.

Health and Confidence
Singing improves mood and decreases stress.   It encourages good posture and breathing which both have a positive impact on the back, neck and internal organs, not to mention presentation skills!    Standing tall and singing out is often something which people feel uncomfortable doing.   In Vocality people can overcome that discomfort very quickly and this confidence spills over into other areas of life.

Creativity
Singing gives an outlet for the creativity which we all have inside us and, in doing so, enriches our lives.

Vocality is great for employers too:

Employee Wellbeing
All the above benefits to the individual will have an impact on each singer’s contribution to the organisation. After lunchtime singing, employees are likely to be more confident, positive, alert and energised.

Team Building
Singing provides an opportunity for a group of people to create something fantastic together.   To do this, they need to listen to each other, work to each other's strengths and blend their voices.  The final sound is a testament to how well the team has worked together.

A Benefit for Everyone
Vocality benefits your employees in a way which is truly inclusive.   It is available to all regardless of experience, age, position in the company, disability and so on.  There is no need to change for it, shower after it, get a bus to it, and it is an activity which levels out the hierarchies which form in an organisation.

Community Profile
As groups become more confident, and if employers are in agreement, Vocality can take them to a wider stage by organising performances in the community which can be in support of charity or just for fun.   Where a Vocality choir is associated with a business, it is our aim to ensure that nothing but positive PR arises from the choir's performances.
