Give it a go! You'll be warmly welcomed for a free taster session and we're sure you'll leave wanting more. We believe you don’t need to read music to make music. We learn every song by listening to Max, our talented choir leader, and we can practise between rehearsals using tailor-made vocal tracks for each voice part.
Max Barley
Max is a freelance choir leader with a passion for conducting, having recently achieved an MA in Choral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music. His current roles include Director of Music at Holy Trinity Church in Sloane Square, Music Director of Choir of the 21st Century and of Eltham Choral Society, and Principal Conductor of the Guildford Chamber Choir. Max is new to Vocality, but is relishing the challenge of teaching every song by ear to our Surbiton choir, our largest group!
